Direction to Use

1. Preparation

Ensure the device is fully charged or connected to a power source.
Disinfect all patient-contacting accessories (lip hook, file clip) before use.

2. Assembly

Connect the measuring wire to the Minipex unit.
Attach the lip hook to the measuring wire.
Attach the file clip to the wire and connect to the endodontic file in use.

3. Patient Setup

Place the lip hook inside the patient's mouth on the cheek or lip.
Insert the endodontic file into the canal.
Attach the file clip to the file (ensure a firm connection).

4. Apex Location Procedure

Watch the color LCD screen for real-time location updates:
- Green → Safe Zone
- Yellow → Approaching Apex
- Red → At or Beyond Apex
An audible tone will increase in frequency as the file nears the apex.
Stop advancing the file when it reaches the apical constriction (0.0 reading or apical beep).
