It allows for easy handling and maneuverability, ensuring precise and efficient operation. Additionally, the scaler features an auto-water supply function, which simplifies the process and enhances usability.

One notable aspect of the UDS-E LED scaler is its inner water pipe, constructed from antiseptic material. This design enables the use of various clinical fluids such as hydrogen peroxide, chlorhexidine, and sodium hypochlorite with the auto-water supply system. Direction to Use

1. Preparation

Ensure the power cable is connected to a 220–240V, 50/60Hz outlet.
Verify the unit is securely grounded if applicable.
Connect the handpiece to the scaler main unit.
Firmly attach the appropriate scaling tip to the handpiece.
Check water supply and ensure adequate flow and pressure (0.01MPa to 0.5MPa).

2. Patient Preparation

Place a dental bib over the patient's chest and neck.
Provide protective eyewear to shield the patient's eyes from debris and spray.
Position the patient comfortably in the dental chair, ensuring full visibility of the working area.

3. Unit Operation

Press the Power button on the U600 unit to activate it.
Adjust the power/intensity level to suit the procedure (low for light deposits, high for heavy calculus).
Confirm the tip is seated properly and does not vibrate loosely.
Activate the LED light if additional visibility is required.

4. Scaling Procedure

Gently apply the tip to the tooth surface, initiating scaling.
Use light, sweeping motions, maintaining constant motion to avoid heat buildup.
Apply moderate pressure—never force the tip into the tooth.
Follow the tooth contour, moving from gingival margin to crown.
Regularly rinse and suction to clear debris and maintain visibility.
Adjust tip type or power level as needed based on plaque or calculus hardness.
Continue until all visible deposits are removed and the surface is smooth.

5. Post-Procedure Care

Switch off the power and water supply.

Allow the patient to rinse thoroughly with water or an antimicrobial mouthwash.
Offer oral hygiene advice:
- Brush twice daily with a soft-bristle toothbrush.
- Floss regularly to prevent buildup.
- Recommend follow-up visits every 6 months (or as needed).

6. Safety and Maintenance Tips

Always use compatible tips as specified by Woodpecker.
Do not operate the scaler without water—this can overheat the tip and harm soft tissues.
Clean and sterilize handpiece and tips after each use.
